Its about a little girl who lives in punjab during the 1971 war!!! the story revolves around her relationship with her maid, rani, a teenage girl and who is also her closest friend.
Moni mohsin beautifully explains how the innocent and curious little girl suddenly experiences odd happenings that are beyond her understanding and judgement. These unexplainable situations entirely and dramatically changes here life!!!

south asian english novels
kartography
Its good to see many south asian authors coming up with wonderful writings. kamila shamsie is one of them. kartography is one of her first novels in which she vivaciously globes the city of karachi and delicately explains about its citizens, the karachiites.
childhood frindships, love, blending with the ferocities that the city faces, kamila shamsie has truely spoken on behalf of the citizens..
if anyone of you has read this novel please post your views and about other novels of kamila shamsie..
i also would like to know about other south asian writers,
thankyou
